On May 21, at the regular sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment moderated by Varazdat Karapetyan debated and endorsed two legislative initiatives, which would be proposed to be included in the draft law of the agenda of the upcoming regular sittings of the parliament.

The deputy Ani Samsonyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan presented the opinion and the proposals of the RA Government.

The author of the other initiative with the endorsement was the RA Government.

The RA Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan in the first reading presented for debate the draft law on Making Addendum and Amendments to the RA Water Code.

The Committee in the first reading also debated the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Water Users’ Companies and the Unions of the Water Users’ Companies. The Chairman of the Water Committee of the RA Ministry of Energy Sub-Structures and Natural Resources Vardan Melkonyan considered disputable in legal terms, and that is why the author would present to the Committee the edited version of the draft law.
